BookCoverfront.jpgLose Me. by M.C. Frank

“Today is not the day I die.”

Ari Demos starts every day with this thought. Fresh out of high school, she’s landed a coveted role as a stunt double in a new Pride and Prejudice adaptation starring the Hollywood phenomenon Weston Spencer. But this job isn’t going to be easy: Ari will be performing complicated water stunts and driving fast cars along the narrow cliffs of Corfu. One false step and she could lose not only her job, but her life. And then Wes Spencer, Mr Darcy himself, arrives in Greece. He’s got dirty blonde hair, a mile-long yacht and a bored look on that gorgeous face. Ari wants nothing to do with the rich actor boy, but on the day she meets him, she has an accident. One that almost claims her life. And now she can’t hide from the truth any longer: She might be much closer to losing everything than she thought. She might be dying. And the British actor is the last person she’d expect to save her life. She’s a hard-working island girl. He’s adored by millions. Falling in love was never supposed to be a part of the job. Staying alive was never supposed to be a part of growing up. Was this story ever meant for a happily ever after?

Books to Movies Adaptions

When I am not reading, I love to watch movies. So I thought why not make a post of all the different kinds of books to movies adaptions I love and don’t love so much. 😀

Loved The Movie, But The Book Was Better

Image result for the hunger gamesImage result for twilight movieThe Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins – The only reason I say the books are better is because the movie could have done a little more “gore”, but then I guess it would have been rated R. I still love the movies regardless.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer – I was one of the ones that read Twilight before it became a movie. So when it first came out I hated the movie. But once the sequels started to come out the movies started to grow on me more. So now I really like the movies, especially Breaking Dawn Part 1 and 2 even though that is my least liked of the books because there is to much Jacob POV. #TeamEdward

Loved The Movie and Book Equally

Image result for the mortal instruments movieImage result for divergent movieImage result for percy jackson moviesImage result for narnia movie

The Mortal Instruments (City of Bones) by Cassandra Clare- I saw the movie City of Bones before I read the Mortal Instruments series and I loved it so much. I wish they would have continued the movie instead of that horrid Shadowhunter TV show that I refuse to watch. Also Jamie Campbell Bower is forever Jace to me. 😍
Divergent by Veronica Roth – I really liked these books and the movies were pretty awesome! I am super sad they won’t be continue the movies and they are taking it to TV and  Shailene Woodley refuses to be in it.
Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan – When I first saw these movies I thought they were horrible, but the second time I watched them I thought they weren’t so bad and I started to really like them. Now I am sad because they didn’t continue on to The Titans Curse.
The Lion,The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S Lewis –  The movie was on point! 😀

Loved The Movie More Than The Book

Lord of The Rings AND The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien

I am now confessing that I have never read the LOTRs series and I did not finish reading The Hobbit because it was so darn boring. I am forever in love with the movies though.

Loved The Movie, But Haven’t Read The Book

Image result for i am number four movieImage result for the spectacular nowImage result for the fault in our stars movieImage result for the maze runner movieImage result for me before you movieImage result for miss peregrine movie

I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore – I really loved this movie and of course they didn’t continue making the series into a movie so now I must read the series to find out what happens. I have heard it is a great series though!
The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp – One of my favorite movies ever, I love Miles Teller so that probably has something to do with it, but all in all it was a cute story. I don’t plan on reading the book though.
The Fault In Our Stars by John Green –Oh my gosh, just 😭😭😭😭 I’ve thought about reading the book because it was such a good movie, but I really don’t feel like crying that much again.
The Maze Runner by James Dashner – Loving these movies and they better finish all of them! Dying to see The Death Cure! 2018! I probably won’t read these books still.
Me Before You by JoJo Moyes – This movie ripped my heart out and stomped on it for days. I don’t plan on reading the book, but I do plan to read the sequel because I want to know what happens to Louisa. I just hope it isn’t as heartbreaking as Me Before You. 💔
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs – Loved the movie and I don’t know if they plan to keep making movies, but I hope to read the series before they do!

Image result for gossip girl tv showImage result for pretty little liars tv show season 1 coverImage result for the 100 tv show season 1Gossip Girl by Cecily Von Ziegesar – Loved the Show, Loved Chuck Bass, Want to some day read this series because I heard it’s different from the show, but I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to fit it in.
Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard – I really liked this show, but I haven’t watched it in awhile. I need to catch up on it. I am surprised it lasted on TV as long as it did. Kinda want to read the books, but probably won’t.
The 100 by Kass Morgan – I watched only the first half of season 1, maybe the whole season, but I don’t think so. I really want to watch the rest, but kinda want to read the series instead. I haven’t decided yet.

Seen The Space Between Us and Loved It. Saw Ender’s Game and didn’t really like it, I love the Princess Diaries! I want to see Seventh Son! I probably won’t read any of these books.

Did NOT Know These Were Movies

Image result for beautiful creatures movieImage result for duff movie

-Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

-The Duff by Kody Keplinger

Haven’t read either one of these books, but Beautiful Creatures is on my TBR. The Duff, I don’t really know anything about, but I’ve heard the name a lot.

Decent Movie, Havent Read The Book

Image result for the 5th waveThe 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

It was just okay is all I can come up with to say.
Anyone recommend reading the series?

Did NOT Like The Movie Have NOT Read The Book

Image result for paper townsPaper Towns by John Green – Really disliked the whole movie. Didn’t like how the girl treated the boy and (to not spoil it for anyone) what the boy did the whole movie was pointless.

-Prince Caspian by C.S Lewis

-Perks of Being A Wild Flower by Stephen Chbosky
-Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz
I own Eragon and plan on reading it sometime or another and then watching the movie. I can’t decide if I want to read Perks of Being A Wild Flower. I don’t plan to read Ella Enchanted but, I’ll probably watch the movie eventually. I Probably won’t read Prince Caspian or Stormbreaker, but I plan to watch Stormbreaker because my bae Alex Pettyfer is in it. I’ll probably watch Prince Caspian one day too. I’ve never heard of The Giver until the other day and I am quite curious about it.

Image result for vampire diaries tv showImage result for true bloodThe Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith
True Blood (Sookie Stackhouse series) by Charlaine Harris
I love vampires and surprisingly I haven’t watched any of the top Vampire TV Shows. Honestly when True Blood was on I was a hater and talked crap about it and never watched it, but I might give it a try. Think I should read the Sookie Stackhouse series first? I hated on The Vampire Diaries too, but I actually have no idea what it’s about and I kinda want to read the books, but I would definitely read Vampire Academy first. Which I hope to soon. Speaking of Vampire Academy I haven’t seen the movie and I heard it’s really bad, but I’ll probably watch it after I read the books.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Fantasy Books I’m Anticipating Most For The Second Half Of 2017

Hello Everyone! ❤

Since 2017 is a half way over. I figured what a great time to talk about the rest of the releases of 2017. If you love YA Fantasy you’ll love this list.

Here are 10 books from the Fantasy genre I am looking forward to reading the most for the rest of the year.

lovedLoved By P.C Cast and Kristen Cast
Release Date: July 11th

I must say I think that Loved is the book I am most excited about reading this year! I love the House of Night series so much and I am so glad they brought it back! Even though it is technically a new series, it still has Zoey and the gang in it!

Synopsis from Goodreads: The bestselling series has returned! Join P.C. and Kristin Cast in celebrating the tenth anniversary of the House of Night series by going on a thrilling new adventure with your beloved Nerd Herd. It’s Zoey’s eighteenth birthmas and the Nerd Herd has been scattered across the country busily adulting for almost a year when Stark calls them back to Tulsa to surprise Z. But all is not well in T-town. Strange, dark signs are appearing—could it be possible Neferet is stirring? Not willing to chance disaster striking again, Zoey calls on her newly reunited friends to circle with her and add a layer of protection over Neferet’s grotto jail. Easy-peasy, right? Wrong. Nothing at the House of Night is ever as it seems. With rabid red vampyres closing in, Zoey and the Nerd Herd must come together again and battle evil. But a year is a long time. Have these old friends grown too far apart? When the world fractures and allies become enemies, will darkness devour friendships or will light save those she’s loved?

savageThe Savage Dawn by Melissa Grey
Release Date: July 11th

So this is the third novel of The Girl At Midnight trilogy and I am late to the game. I haven’t read any of them, YET. This series sounds really good to me and I love the covers. I probably won’t get to read them till the Fall though.

Synopsis from Goodreads: The sides have been chosen and the battle lines drawn.
Echo awakened the Firebird. Now she is the only one with the power to face the darkness she unwittingly unleashed . . . right into the waiting hands of Tanith, the new Dragon Prince. Tanith has one goal in mind: destroy her enemies, raze their lands, and reign supreme in a new era where the Drakharin are almighty and the Avicen are nothing but a memory. The war that has been brewing for centuries is finally imminent. But the scales are tipped. Echo might hold the power to face the darkness within the Dragon Prince, but she has far to go to master its overwhelming force. And now she’s plagued by uncertainty. With Caius no longer by her side, she doesn’t know if she can do it alone. Is she strong enough to save her home and the people she loves? Whether Echo is ready to face this evil is not the question. The war has begun, and there is no looking back. There are only two outcomes possible: triumph or death.

darkOne Dark Throne by Kendare Blake
Release Date: September 19th

So I must confess that I have had Three Dark Crowns sitting on my shelf for about 6 months now and I keep saying I’m going to read it and it hasn’t happened yet. I really want to read it though. It sounds super exciting. I still have some time before this sequel comes out to read Three Dark Crowns this summer, so I’m hoping to do that.

Synopsis from Goodreads:
The battle for the Crown has begun, but which of the three sisters will prevail? With the unforgettable events of the Quickening behind them and the Ascension Year underway, all bets are off. Katharine, once the weak and feeble sister, is stronger than ever before. Arsinoe, after discovering the truth about her powers, must figure out how to make her secret talent work in her favor without anyone finding out. And Mirabella, once thought to be the strongest sister of all and the certain Queen Crowned, faces attacks like never before—ones that put those around her in danger she can’t seem to prevent.

Image result for godsgrave by jay kristoffGodsgrave by Jay Kristoff
Release Date: September 5th

I have another confession. I have not yet read Nevernight. 🤐 I do plan to read it before I get this book in the mail though. Yes, I pre-ordered Godsgrave! I couldn’t help myself, I got the Barnes and Noble Special Edition that is signed! I would have already read Nevernight but, I really wanted the UK cover and it’s been hard for me to find a place to buy it without my bank throwing a hissy fit. So since I pre-ordered the US cover of Godsgrave, I am probably going to just breakdown and get the US Nevernight. I’m definitely still going to get both in UK form too though! I am super excited to read this series though because I loved Iluuminae and Jay Kristoff is just a awesome person! I mean have you seen his tweets and Insta stories!? He is so hilarious!

Synopsis from Goodreads: Assassin Mia Corvere has found her place among the Blades of Our Lady of Blessed Murder, but many in the Red Church ministry think she’s far from earned it. Plying her bloody trade in a backwater of the Republic, she’s no closer to ending Consul Scaeva and Cardinal Duomo, or avenging her familia. And after a deadly confrontation with an old enemy, Mia begins to suspect the motives of the Red Church itself. When it’s announced that Scaeva and Duomo will be making a rare public appearance at the conclusion of the grand games in Godsgrave, Mia defies the Church and sells herself to a gladiatorial collegium for a chance to finally end them. Upon the sands of the arena, Mia finds new allies, bitter rivals, and more questions about her strange affinity for the shadows. But as conspiracies unfold within the collegium walls, and the body count rises, Mia will be forced to choose between loyalty and revenge, and uncover a secret that could change the very face of her world

Image result for the language of thorns leigh bardugoThe Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo
Release Date: September 26th

This book is probably the most I am excited about other than Loved. So making Godsgrave the 3rd I am most excited about. I am currently reading Crooked Kingdom and I have been taking my time with it because I just don’t want it to end! 😭 I love Leigh Bardugo’s writing style and I can’t wait to see what she has come up with in these short stories!

Synopsis from Goodreads:
Travel to a world of dark bargains struck by moonlight, of haunted towns and hungry woods, of talking beasts and gingerbread golems, where a young mermaid’s voice can summon deadly storms and where a river might do a lovestruck boy’s bidding but only for a terrible price. Perfect for new readers and dedicated fans, these tales will transport you to lands both familiar and strange—to a fully realized world of dangerous magic that millions have visited through the novels of the Grishaverse. This collection of six stories includes three brand-new tales, all of them lavishly illustrated with art that changes with each turn of the page, culminating in six stunning full-spread illustrations as rich in detail as the stories themselves.

Image result for an engandment of ravens by margaret rogersonAn Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
Release Date: September 26th

This is Margaret Rogerson’s Debut Novel and I love reading Debuts! This book definitely sounds really unique and plus look at that cover!

Synopsis from Goodreads:
Isobel is a prodigy portrait artist with a dangerous set of clients: the sinister fair folk, immortal creatures who cannot bake bread, weave cloth, or put a pen to paper without crumbling to dust. They crave human Craft with a terrible thirst, and Isobel’s paintings are highly prized among them. But when she receives her first royal patron—Rook, the autumn prince—she makes a terrible mistake. She paints mortal sorrow in his eyes – a weakness that could cost him his life. Furious and devastated, Rook spirits her away to the autumnlands to stand trial for her crime. Waylaid by the Wild Hunt’s ghostly hounds, the tainted influence of the Alder King, and hideous monsters risen from barrow mounds, Isobel and Rook depend on one another for survival. Their alliance blossoms into trust, then love, violating the fair folks’ ruthless Good Law. There’s only one way to save both their lives, Isobel must drink from the Green Well, whose water will transform her into a fair one—at the cost of her Craft, for immortality is as stagnant as it is timeless. Isobel has a choice: she can sacrifice her art for a future, or arm herself with paint and canvas against the ancient power of the fairy courts. Because secretly, her Craft represents a threat the fair folk have never faced in all the millennia of their unchanging lives: for the first time, her portraits have the power to make them feel.

jhjjuy.pngWild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore
Release Date: October 3rd

This book sounds amazing! I need to know more about this Fel guy, so I must read this! Of course the gorgeous cover is what drew me to this book though.

Synopsis from Goodreads:
For nearly a century, the Nomeolvides women have tended the grounds of La Pradera, the lush estate gardens that enchant guests from around the world. They’ve also hidden a tragic legacy: if they fall in love too deeply, their lovers vanish. But then, after generations of vanishings, a strange boy appears in the gardens. The boy is a mystery to Estrella, the Nomeolvides girl who finds him, and to her family, but he’s even more a mystery to himself; he knows nothing more about who he is or where he came from than his first name. As Estrella tries to help Fel piece together his unknown past, La Pradera leads them to secrets as dangerous as they are magical in this stunning exploration of love, loss, and family.

saintAll The Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater
Release Date: October 10th

Oh gosh. Another confession, I have not read The Raven Boys series. I know, please don’t shun me. I have till October to read them though even though this series has nothing to do with the Raven Boys I am pretty sure. But I would still like to read The Raven Boys first. I actually really have wanted to read The Raven Boys and it has been really high on my TBR for awhile! It is also on my Summer TBR! So I am hoping to get to it real soon.

Synopsis from Goodreads:
Any visitor to Bicho Raro, Colorado is likely to find a landscape of dark saints, forbidden love, scientific dreams, miracle-mad owls, estranged affections, one or two orphans, and a sky full of watchful desert stars. At the heart of this place you will find the Soria family, who all have the ability to perform unusual miracles. And at the heart of this family are three cousins longing to change its future: Beatriz, the girl without feelings, who wants only to be free to examine her thoughts; Daniel, the Saint of Bicho Raro, who performs miracles for everyone but himself; and Joaquin, who spends his nights running a renegade radio station under the name Diablo Diablo. They are all looking for a miracle. But the miracles of Bicho Raro are never quite what you expect.

ren.jpgRenegades by Marissa Meyer
Release Date: November 7th

And we come to my fourth book I am most excited about! I loved the Lunar Chronciles so much, and plan to read all of Melissa Meyer’s books. This new series sounds really awesome and I can’t wait!

Synopsis from Goodreads:
The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies—humans with extraordinary abilities—who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone…except the villains they once overthrew. Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice—and in Nova. But Nova’s allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.

Image result for winds of winter by george rr martinThe Winds of Winter by George R.R Martin

Rumor has it again that this will be the year we finally get Winds of Winter! Supposedly this Fall! I am starting to feel like we are never going to get it though especially since the show is about to be over and they are creating there own ending. I am just going to keep thinking that so I don’t get my hopes up. I loved the books way more than the show even though I still loved the show. The show started to leave some of my favorite parts out. I really need these last two books in my life!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and if you have any questions or opinions feel free to comment below! I’d love to hear your thoughts! ❤

Bookish Show and Tell

So I don’t know if this is a thing already but, I decided to come up with a tag called Bookish Show and Tell! I made up five topics to list with books from your own shelf!

  1. Feature the ‘featured image’
  2. Tag me for credit of making this tag
  3. Tag Others to do the tag next
  4. Have fun!
  5. You do not have to take your own photos like I did but, I encourage it! It is fun! But if you do not want to you can use Google Images.

Alrighty then! Let’s get started!

Authors That Need More Spotlight

LRM_EXPORT_20170610_121433J.C Hannigan and Errin Stevens

I only own one book from both of these Authors but, I really loved that one book from both of them!
Updrift is actually Errin Steven’s debut novel and I love reading debut novels from Authors because I want them all to become New York Times bestsellers! I loved Updrift and I wish I had the second book to this awesome novel. I can’t wait to get my hands on it one day. Errin is now working on the third book of the Updrift trilogy!
Damaged Goods was my first read from the New Adult novel and I loved it! I am dying to get my hands on the next book in the series Reckless Abandon and all of J.C Hannigan’s books!
I believe both of these novels are self-published and I love to buy self-published books because that means the Author is working extra hard. I just love spreading the book love around period! Anyways, before I get anymore carried away with spilling my love for these two books and Authors. I could probably use a whole blog post on them both!
So here is some links where you can go check them out for yourself 🙂
J.C Hannigan’s Website and Errin Steven’s Website

Favorite Autographed Book

LRM_EXPORT_20170610_121817.jpgLRM_EXPORT_20170610_121939Dark Days A Memoir By D. Randall Blythe

I cherish this autograph the most because this book is written by the lead singer of my most favorite Metal band, Lamb of God. I really look up to him as a person and a artist. I will always love Lamb of God’s music. They are also Richmond, VA natives and live there still today. I live only 45 mins away from Richmond. So I am fortunate to be able to attend hometown concerts which are the best! Plus I love RVA. It’s the best thing about Virgina! I have honestly not finished this book yet. I am on page 123 of 488 but, I have already learned so much from Randy’s life decisions and advice.

What I Was Reading In High School

LRM_EXPORT_20170610_122131.jpgThe Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe

Here is a summary of the book : Wolfe presents an as-if-firsthand account of the experiences of Ken Kesey and his band of Merry Pranksters, who traveled across the country in a colorfully painted school bus named Further. Kesey and the Pranksters became famous for their use of LSD and other psychedelic drugs in hopes of achieving intersubjectivity. The book chronicles the Acid Tests, the group’s encounters with (in)famous figures of the time, including famous authors, Hells Angels, and The Grateful Dead, and it also describes Kesey’s exile to Mexico and his arrests.

Yeah, I went through a modern day hippy faze in high school. It only lasted for 11th grade, don’t worry. This book was actually really good and interesting though. All the events in the book really did happen! I plan to re-read it one day to freshen up on my facts.

Photogenic Cover

LRM_EXPORT_20170610_121716.jpgIlluminae By Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman

I love taking photos of Illuminae and whenever I get my copy of Gemina I’m sure I’ll love to take photos of it as well. I just love the beautiful color and unique format! ❤

Books I Haven’t Read Yet

LRM_EXPORT_20170610_122250.jpgThree Dark Crowns By Kendare Blake and Wintersong by S. Jae- Jones

I really have no excuse on why I haven’t read Three Dark Crowns yet. Other than I keep reading other books instead. I really want to read the book it just never happens.
Have any of you read Three Dark Crowns? Let me know your opinion of it!
I’m actually kinda afraid to read Wintersong because I heard it’s based off David Bowie’s Labyrinth movie and I don’t want it to ruin the movie for me or be predictable because it is so much like the movie.
Seeing the new cover reveal for the second book in the Wintersong series, Shadow Song really makes me want to read Wintersong now though. It is absolutely gorgeous and I am a sucker for gorgeous covers. I have till January 2018 though to read Wintersong before Shadowsong comes out.

I tag!

Thank you for reading my post and I hope you enjoyed it! Feel free to comment below with your opinions and questions or advice! I’d love to hear it! ❤

Bookish Weekly Recap

What’s Going On In My Life

Hello Everyone!

June so far has been full of a lot of rain. I am really not a big fan of rain so I really would like it to go away and not come back another day. Since it’s been raining so much I mostly stayed inside. I watched a lot of movies. One being a new movie that is made by YouTube Red, called The Thinning. It was surprising really good and I hope they make a sequel.

Book Haul So Far

So far I have only gotten two books. A Million Junes by Emily Henry was my choice from the Book of the Month this month. I received The Extraction List by Renee N. Meland in a giveaway. I already completed The Extraction List and you can check out my Review: The Extraction List By Renee N. Meland.

10 Books I Plan To Read This Summer

This summer I plan to read alot of fun reads that I have been really looking forward to reading for awhile now. Of course I’ll definitely be reading more than 10 books this summer, but these are the 10 I’m most looking forward to. ❤

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

When I first saw this book, it definitely turned into a cover buy. I thought the cover was so cute. I love the henna tattoos on Dimple’s hands and who doesn’t love iced coffee. After being drawn to the book by its cute cover. I researched it and discovered that the story line is equally as cute. I also have never read anything like this and find it interesting to learn about something new.

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

This book sounds like so much fun. I heard that it’s like a real mind game. I would love one of the gorgeous UK covers or all four would be okay with me too. I’m all around super excited about owning and reading this book.

Fangirl by Raindow Rowell

So I might as well admit, I think every book on this list definitely attracted me with it’s cover. Seeing all the little character drawings for Fangirl definitely attracted me to it. I heard Rainbow Rowell’s books are a must so, I think Fangirl would be a good start. I’d also like to read Carry On by her also.

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

I’ve been wanting to read the Outlander series for awhile now. I’ve been told it’s as fantastic as Game of Thrones and I love Game of Thrones. I’ve also been really wanting to see the show and I can’t watch that until I read the books!

The Lux Series by Jennifer Armentrout

I’ve been told by multiple people to read this series. I’ve also been told Jennifer Armentrout is a great author. I’ve never read any books that have to do with aliens so that really interests me. Plus I heard it has a little bit of romance in it so, who doesn’t love a good romance!?

Geekerella by Ashley Poston

I love fairy tale retellings! I love nerdy things, so this sounds perfect for me. The cover is also extremely cute. If you haven’t noticed, this summer I want to get a lot of nice, easy, fun, cute reads down on my TBR list. Isn’t that pretty much what summer is suppose to be!?

larajeanAlways and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

I am a big Jenny Han fan. I have read all of her books except for Shug and this one. To All The Boys I Loved Before is a awesome series and it actually opened me up to the contemporary genre. Every series by Jenny Han is awesome though. If you guys are looking for summer reads, I think all her series are great for that. Especially The Summer I Turned Pretty Series, That series has a special place in my heart and I loved how it all ended. It made me feel complete. Speaking of endings I hope the ending of the To All The Boys I Loved Before series makes me feel the same way. I am super nervous how Always and Forever,Lara Jean is going to end. I just hope it ends the way I want it to. ❤

Shatter Me by Tahera Mafi

I have only read Futhermore by Tahera Mafi but, I loved it so much. Tahera Mafi’s writing style is so unique.I love the worlds she created! Futhermore is so colorful inside and out! I defiantly felt like I was on an adventure the whole time. I can only imagine what she has created in Shatter Me. I couldn’t wait for Whichwood to come out. Then I heard that Shatter Me is coming to the big screen! So I was like, I need to get on this series now! Then to top all off she is adding on to the series. Could life get any better?

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

I read Illuminae and started following Jay and Amie on Twitter and Instagram and they are such awesome people. I really enjoyed Illuminae and I’m waiting a little bit to read Gemina because it is going to be a little while before Obsidio comes out. So in the mean time I plan to read all of Jay and Amie’s books starting with this beauty Nevernight. I already pre-ordered Godsgrave, that comes out in September. I really want the UK versions of both books. They are so much more gorgeous than the US. The US still nice though. 😉

Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde

I really need to read more books like these and I think this one definitely sounds like a fun read. I have heard nothing but good things about it. And just look at that cover! 😀

Thanks for reading my post and I hope you enjoyed it! Comment below with your opinions, I’d love to hear them. ❤

A+ on the test: A book character that makes you smile?

Captain Carswell Thorne

I love the conversations between Thorne and Cinder, and Thorne and Kai the most. Thorne is such a hilarious character. Plus he sounds super handsome. All the fan art pretty much confirms he is handsome. Thorne and Cress are also super cute together. When I was reading the Lunar Chronicles, pretty much every part with Thorne had me smiling.

Sports Team: A fictional family that you want to be part of?

The Weasleys

Every since I was a little kid and first saw The Burrow. I wish I lived in a house like that. The Weasley family did have alot to do with it though. Mrs.Weasley and her loving and caring for all of her children and Harry! Mr. Weasley and his wonderful personality and interest in muggle items. All the Weasley children are so awesome especially the twins, I love all their little experiments and tricks. I’d rather be part of their family like Harry so I can still have a crush on Ron though. I’d fit right in being a ginger and all.

Class President: A book that tries to make a difference?

abookThe Upside of Unrequited By Becky Albertalli

I actually have never read a book like this one before. It is extremely diverse. I know I really need to read more. I promise I have a whole list of them on my TBR. ❤
This book I think connects will people in different ways. Depending on who is reading it. Personally, I related to the self-esteem issues that some of the characters felt. I also learned how others opposite of me would feel in daily situations.

High School Sweetheart: A book character you have a crush on?

Patch Cipriano

I definitely have A LOT of book crushes. In previous posts I already confessed by love of Kaz Brekker and I just mentioned Thorne so next in my line of love is Patch from the Hush Hush series. He is my favorite fallen angel. He is definitely the perfect package. Dark,Mysterious,Handsome,Hilarious! Ahhh, I’m drooling.

Prom Night: A book with a beautiful cover

Futhermore By Tahereh Mafi

In my opinion this is the most gorgeous cover I have ever seen! Have you seen the cover reveal for Whichwood? That cover is so gorgeous as well! Click HERE to see it! 😉

Spring Break: A book you can always turn to when you need an escape?

All Books

I actually only re-read books if I haven’t finished them or if its the first book of a series I don’t remember. But I do read to escape everyday life and to go on awesome adventures.

School Lunch: A book character(s) you want to have lunch with?

In a perfect world with all my favorite book characters going to school together. I think I’d definitely eat lunch with Kaz’s or Cinder’s crew. Maybe even Harry,Ron and Hermione.

Halloween Party: A character you would like to be for one day?

Arya Stark

I wouldn’t mind being Arya even thought shes been through a lot. She has become a bad-ass with a sword. She is just all around awesome.

School Bully: A villain you don’t want to go to school with?

It would definitely suck to have Aiden take over all the computers and the school.

Graduation: A book with a bittersweet conclusion?

Unforgiven By Lauren Kate

This book had a extremely good ending but, it left me wanting so much more. Even though this book was a part of the Fallen series. It is Cam’s story so there is hope that Lauren Kate will continue on and give us a few more books in the series. I definitely have my fingers crossed for it!

YA Characters Go To Prom

Today I saw Epic Reads blog post “If YA Characters Went To Prom” and I enjoyed it so much, I wanted to try my own! Be sure to click the clickable clink to their blog post and check it out also. Now for my version. 🙂

Image result for prom graphics

It’s prom season! My prom was actually in April but, that was five year ago. My friends and I actually got in a fender bender on the way to prom so we were late. So that kinda ruined it for me. If only I could have gone with Edward Cullen or someone, maybe that would have changed things. 😉

If I was going to prom this year, I would choose to go with Kaz Brekker. That’s if he would be willing to take me. I might have to possible bribe him with a few kruges and look past the fact he probably won’t want to touch me at all. But come on, it’s Kaz! Chilling by the punch bowl would be just fine with me.
Who would you want to take you to prom?

Now for the main event!

The Promposals!

Katniss and Gale

Before Katniss entered the Hunger Games, before she met Peeta Mellark. District 12 had a prom.
Katniss and Gale are on a hunt in the woods for food.
Atleast that is what Katniss thinks.
Katniss and Gale walk to their special place hidden by thistle bushes, where they can see clearly into the valley. To Katniss’s surprise Gale has set out bread and cheese from Prim’s goat. Katniss then turns to Gale seeing him holding up a fishing net with shells hanging off it, spelling out “PROM?”
Results: I think there is a definite possibility of Katniss saying YES! Hopefully this moment will keep her from falling in-love in the future Hunger Games with Peeta. Gosh, I hate Peeta.

Patch and Nora

It would probably start with Patch breaking into Nora’s house and scaring the crap out of her.
“How did you get in?”
“I move in mysterious ways.”
“God moves in mysterious ways. You move like lightning-here one moment, gone the next.”
He’d probably disappear not to long after that and Nora would find a note on her pillow saying,”Prom, Angel?”

Results:  Of course Nora is going to geek out about that little note and say yes. Then when the day comes and they see each other in their outfits. Patch will most definitely make a comment about taking a article of clothing off.

cressThorne and Cress

Cinder and the gang are up to tricks again. Just like at Scarlet and Wolf’s wedding. This time though the trick is on Cress! Cress is chilling at Kai’s palace with the gang while Thorne is no where in sight. Of course it was almost impossible for Cinder and Scarlet to tear Cress from Thorne’s side. But they managed it. Kai suggests to have lunch out on rooftop of the palace. When all of a sudden here comes the Rampion, zooming on to the landing pad with “Prom?” painted on the side of it.

Results: Of course Cress is going to ball and get super excited, but not as excited as Iko.

Kady and Ezra

Result: ByteMe: Yes
